'In one of the biggest developments for Adult Skating in Australia the inaugural Australian Adult Figure Skating Championships (AAFSC) took place in Brisbane at Boondall Iceworld from 6th to 8th March 2026.

Adult Skating has been one of the largest growth areas of figure skating over the last few years, with skaters either transitioning from ISA divisions to Adult, coming back to the sport after a hiatus of sometime years, or new adults who have found the sport that inspires them.  It was recognized a couple of years ago by ISA Board and delegates, as well as members of the Adult Skating community, that it was time for adult skaters to have their own national championships.'
