About Volunteering

SAISA is a not-for-profit organisation and our events are run by volunteers

We are always looking for more volunteers to support the South Australian figure skating community by helping out at events or assisting in administration in the lead up to competitions. There are many roles involved in running competitions that require no experience and also roles that are more specialised; requiring some hands-on training prior to the event.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact SAISA secretary via email
[email protected] with the following details:

  • Name and contact details

  • WWCC if over 18 (more details below)

  • Detail of any conflicts of interest

  • Preferred role(s) to volunteer for

  • Event(s) available

  • Time(s) available

Volunteering sessions are usually 2-3 hours, though if you are available for longer periods we always welcome the assistance. You must wear enclosed footwear (non-slip preferable) and it’s recommended to wear warm clothing in layers.

Working With Children Checks

SAISA requires all volunteers to hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Please visit the WWCC website here for more information and to complete the form online (or update details) using the details provided on the About SAISA page.
